The Vendor is required to provide comprehensive furnishing solutions.
- Supply, deliver, configure when applicable and install (unless specified per category or item) for the following furniture types:
• Cafeteria Furniture
• Classroom Furniture
• Clinical Furniture
• Hospitality Furniture
• Institutional Furniture
• Kitchen Furniture
• Laboratory Furniture
• Library Furniture
• Lounge / Reception / Common Area Furniture
• Modular Furniture / Systems / Workstations / Cubicles
• Standard Office Furniture.
- All functional hardware, including hinges, drawer slides (e.g., full-extension ball-bearing type preferred for files), locks, catches, height-adjustment mechanisms, and fasteners, shall be heavy-duty, commercial-grade quality, ensuring smooth, reliable operation throughout the product's lifespan. Metal hardware is generally preferred where applicable.
- Materials: Shall utilize non-porous, smooth, easily cleanable and disinfect able materials. Preferred options include medical-grade vinyl, polyurethanes, solid surfaces, stainless steel, powder-coated metal, laminates designed for healthcare. Avoid fabrics in high-contact patient care areas unless specifically designed with impermeable barriers and proven clean ability.
- Circulation Desks:
• Functionality: Design shall support library staff workflows (check-in/out, computer use, storage). Include options for book returns, cash drawers, and equipment storage.
• Ergonomics: Provide appropriate counter heights for seated and standing staff (approx. 29"-32" seated, 39" standing).
