The Vendor is required to provide for electronic medical record system.
- The system provides the ability to mask data or enter private notes by selected disciplines.
- The system allows specified users and/or disciplines to override access restrictions on masked data and private notes, including a reason code and an audit record for overriding the restrictions.
- The system has an auto save feature, which leaves the data incomplete until it is approved/deleted, i.e. Interruption during the documentation process.
- The system has a vendor library of clinical assessments (i.e. Scott falls assessment, braden risk assessment), protocols, guidelines, and care plan libraries with the copyright permissions.
- The vendor has successfully completed the current “continuing care reporting system” (CCRS) “vendor testing," as set out by institute, and the product has been approved to submit and has successfully submitted data to the CCRS repository.
- The system provides both vendor and customer configured integration from interRAI MDS 2.0 to the EMR areas and from the interRAI to EMR clinical documentation
- The system includes an integrated scanning solution to manage old charts and incoming paper documents.
- Scanning solution (scanning, image validation, image rotation and sizing, attachment to resident chart, indexing / dating, printing).
- The system is capable of storing and retrieving an unlimited number of documents.
- The system stores scanned documents within the EMR or in a document repository.
- The system restricts the downloading or capturing of confidential information to removable devices.
- The system has the ability to apply masking to all data types.
- The system can utilize single authentication as well as facilitate two factor authentication (hardware tokens, biometric devices) preferably multifactor authentication (MFA).
- The system supports lightweight directory access protocol (LDAP) to allow either direct integration with industry standard identity directory services and/or federation services such as (but not limited to) active directory federation services (ADFS).
- All integrations/interfaces/configurations must be functional and working prior to implementation
- The system allows the customer to configure date formats to be used consistently throughout the entire application and print on all reports/printouts unless a report is specifically designed with a different date format.
- The system allows a user to search for a resident across the organization's global master person index (MPI).
- The system allows the organization the option to have medical record numbers automatically assigned by the system or assigned manually by the organization.
- The system has both required and customer-defined optional fields when completing an admission.
- The system allows permitted users to merge two entire duplicate resident records for the same resident.
- The system has the ability for care homes to manage and view occupancy.
- The system can differentiate between funded and non-funded beds when reporting bed management.
