The Vendor is required to provide to optimize how government manages data to create greater organizational insights, make more informed and timely decisions, advance data-driven innovation, and support economic growth and diversification.
- The Data Unit employs a user centric mindset that puts the business first and is designed to combine both business and data functions to produce high quality data products and deliver meaningful data services, with a focus on collaboration and agile delivery.
- Build a federated data ecosystem (FDE), which is an approach focused on enabling governed access to trusted data that improves decision-making and analysis to deliver better programs and outcomes for state, while respecting privacy.

- The province is interested in modern data service providers that have mature data product and service offerings that are capable of satisfying requirements and standards across a range of disciplines including, but not limited to, business, technical, legal, privacy, regulatory, and security.
- Solution Architect
•    Accountable for the overall implementation of the technology platform – data storage – cloud data warehouse/ lakehouse. 
•    Responsible for liaising with the client and gathering information and data to understand client needs, challenges and problems. 
•    Gathers and analyzes information pertaining to client’s problems/ challenges/issues. 
•    Collaborates closely with clients to build relationships, understand needs, and communicate progress. 
•    Develops recommendation and present information to clients on the related work stream. 
•    Responsible for maintaining knowledge and providing expertise for industry best practices. 
•    Lead solution architecture and design for the development, enhancements, and maintenance of data products on the technology platform – data storage – cloud data warehouse/ lakehouse. 
•    Design non-functional aspects of technology solution – data storage – cloud data warehouse/ lakehouse like discoverability, availability, backup, archival, disaster recovery, security compliance. 
•    Provide guidance to platform/ infrastructure team for setup of technology solution – data storage – cloud data warehouse/ lakehouse and how to configure those to meet solution requirements. 
•    Design the integrated system framework for the solution by identifying shared services and shared solutions to ensure strategic re-use of solution, components, and services for complex and highly integrated solutions. 
•    Participate in discussion and planning regarding implementation strategy, technology stack, design patterns and process designs. 
•    Collaborate with teams and train, where necessary, to establish appropriate understanding of the data storage – cloud data warehouse/ lakehouse architecture, features and operating model.
- Data Storage – Cloud Data Warehouse/Lakehouse:
•    Cloud data warehouse/lakehouse capability enables the FDE to harness the combined powers of a data warehouse and data lake in a unified, flexible architecture that securely stores, organizes, and processes large volumes of structured and unstructured trusted data, facilitating powerful analytics and real-time insight.
- Data Cataloguing:
•    A data catalogue is a dynamic inventory system for data, aiding in swift location, understanding, and utilization of your valuable data assets.
- Data Quality:
•    The data quality feature of the FDE will ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across the organization, fostering trust in analytics and decision making while complying with regulatory standards.
- Data Governance:
•    Data governance ensures standardized data practices and compliance, enhancing data reliability and safeguarding business integrity.
- Data Integration:
•    Data integration ensures seamless data exchange and collaboration across systems, enhancing operational efficiency and strategic insights.
- Analytics – Data Visualization and Business Intelligence:
•    The analytics capability of the FDE will empower the agency with low/zero code, data-driven insights through intuitive dashboards, and enhancing decision making capabilities with real-time, comprehensive business intelligence.
