The vendor is required to provide patient identification software system for include:
1. Durable, and disposable patient identification bracelets that:
• Are customizable with individual patient information.
• Are available in not less than six (6) distinct and highly visible colors.
• Are made from polyester or a similar substance, excluding latex and polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
• Are designed to be tamper evident.
• Can be printed using standard color or black and white printers.
• Are ready to use and require no assembly.
• Do not require a laminate material to be applied for sealing.
• Are available in sizes for small adults, adults, bariatric, and geriatric populations.
• will not affect physical integrity of skin.
• USE a two-piece interlocking clasp for a closure that is made from abs plastic or a similar substance with greater or equal durability.
2. A software application that:
• Is able to receive data from the department’s current electronic health records system, Netsmart and avatar.
• Is compatible with the department’s current android-based handheld scanning devices.
• Provides in the moment patient tracking data based on a patient’s status as provided by the electronic health records (EHR).
• Has reporting capability including:
o Code status;
o Movement status;
o Escort requirements;
o Duration of movement events; and
o Expected destination.
• Includes support services that are available by telephone between 8 am and 5 pm daily each business day.
• Can make use of historical data from current solution which is MS sequel (DBMS)
3. Installation includes, but is not limited to:
• Determining and documenting configuration for deployment.
• On site installation of software application at state.
• Integrating the department’s android-based handheld scanners capable of two- and three-dimensional barcode reading (2d and 3d) with the system.
• Supplying additional hand-held scanners for any future expansion.
• Testing of configuration.
• Training staff to use the system.
• Testing of support services.
• An initial supply of identification bracelets and durable clasps that can produce no less than five hundred individual patient identification bracelets.
4. Provide a patient identification system that includes:
• Unique identification capability for each patient identification bracelet.
• The ability to scan and record information on identification bracelets.
• The ability to generate reports that include and can be filtered by:
o Patient id.
o Location.
o Date.
o Time.
o Attending employee.
• A license to the department, of no less than five (5) years, for the application software.
