The Vendor is required to provide the replacement of its legacy Message Switch System (MSS).
- The current MSS serves as a secure, centralized platform that facilitates message routing between internal systems (e.g., CAD) and external law enforcement and public safety data sources, including Telecommunications System, Department, AWS (Automated Warrant System), ARM (Automated Regional Messaging), and others.
- Modern solutions that can support secure, real-time, high-volume messaging; ensure compliance with institute standards; and provide long-term scalability, maintainability, and interoperability.
- The County is particularly interested in vendor capabilities related to system architecture, deployment options (on-premises, cloud, or hybrid), and integration with existing systems, support services, and compliance features.
- The replacement solution must support secure connections to local, state, and federal systems, robust user access controls, audit logging, and failover capabilities to ensure continuity of critical law enforcement operations.
