The Vendor is required to provide for road weather information system (RWIS) supply, installation, and maintenance services.
- This includes:
• Supplying all RWIS equipment, associated hardware, software, and infrastructure components.
• Providing all software, licensing, and subscriptions required for data hosting services.
• Performing all necessary installation activities, including mounting equipment to new or existing infrastructure.
• Completing commissioning of the installed equipment to ensure full functionality, calibration, and integration into the City’s monitoring systems, where applicable.
• Providing detailed installation and commissioning plans to guide the implementation process and support coordination with City personnel.
- Data Hosting Services
• Provide data hosting services in a format that displays pertinent road weather information in a user-friendly way.
• All data collected from the RWIS stations shall be available for viewing in a web-based portal with a minimum of 40 logins.
• The portal must be accessible via desktop computers, laptop computers, tablets, and smart phones (Android and iPhone compatible) and must have distinguished pages for each RWIS station within the city.
- Maintenance, Warranty, and Post-Installation Support
• Development of an annual maintenance and calibration plan, detailing the procedures for each item of annual maintenance and approximate time requirements for annual maintenance.
• Emergency call-out services for any unplanned failures of the RWIS equipment or data hosting system.
• Warranty services for RWIS equipment and performed maintenance services.
- Forecasting Services and Alerts
• Detailed 48-hour, hourly forecasts for air temperature, pavement temperature, subsurface temperature, and precipitation conditions displayed in graphical format and in a text format such as a chart.
• Simple 7-day, daily forecasts for air temperature, pavement temperature, subsurface temperature, and precipitation conditions, including forecasted highs and lows for each day, displayed in a graphical format and text format.
• Email and/or text message alerts for specific forecasted conditions to be agreed upon with successful Proponent.
