The vendor is required to provide safety notification system clearly marked on the outside of the envelope.
- Spreadsheet denotes for each site location the number of standard and varied-sized classrooms, the number of staff needing safety alert badges, and number of safety alert range extenders (if applicable) outside of any classroom installations for alert receivers.
• Adding a safety alert system into all 43 schools and 9 support buildings which meets the safety alerts and notifications minimum requirements below.
• Provide digital signage alert integration as defined in the visual alert’s minimum requirements below.
1. Safety alerts and notifications minimum requirements:
• Must meet mobile panic alert system requirements of sb 17 law
• Staff alert capabilities to notify local administrators for assistance with location mapping.
• Staff alert capabilities for large scale lockdown trigger with direct connect to 911 (enable or disable functionality at district level).
• Alert capabilities for all staff, not just classroom-based teachers.
• Badge and other mobile trigger are a must from the start.
o Cost proposal should include safety alert badge for all staff
• Audio and visual alerting for elevated lockdown alert notifications.
o Audio alerts must integrate with existing intercom system.
o Visual alert has strobe and must integrate with our classroom interactive panels and digital signage for visual verification.
• Campus wide coverage for alert trigger capabilities (local and large scale) with capabilities for extended outdoor areas, such as bus loops, playgrounds, athletic fields.
• System level alert mapping and full-scale control alert triggering from district level.
• Current or future ability for integration with our camera system (avigilon).
• For support buildings, an admin console per site needed as well as complete site coverage inside building for local and large-scale alerts.
2. Visual alerts minimum requirements:
• Triggered or manual alerts must integrate with Vivi digital signage solution and clear touch interactive flat panels to display customizable messaging per alert type
3. Technical and operational minimum requirements:
• All required components for all schools must be fully installed, tested and live, including testing with 911 center by July 1, 2026.
• To reduce costs, fcs have a minimum of 1 network cable in each classroom districtwide can be repurposed for use in this proposal, where applicable.
• Most are in the ceiling at the center of the room, while some others may be pulled from an unused wall jack.
• Beyond that, all new cabling should adhere to the county cabling requirements listed below:
o All network cabling must be american made and be Beldon professional grade or equivalent or approved by fcs technology department
o Network jacks: Panduit net key violet cat6 jacks (nk688mvl)
o Patch panels: Panduit nkfpl24 or nkfpl48.
o In the classrooms where applicable, the Panduit net key 2 port surface mount box (nk2bxiw)
o Cabling must be color coded per fcs (traditionally purple and violet for audio or blue)
o All cabling must be cat 6 or 6a unless otherwise stated and approved by fcs technology department.
o Routing of cables into cable trays and network racks must be approved by a fcs appointed it contact prior to termination into patch panel.
o All network drops must be tested and certified.
o All cabling must be labeled in network closest to match exiting cabling.
o Hooks must be used in all ceilings, hallways, and closets (cable cannot be laid on ceiling tiles)
o In all MDF and IDF there must be a service loop above the racks
o All patch cables must match the color cable and be cat 6 patch cables
4. Safety and cleanliness requirements
• Responsible at all times for the security of all components necessary to complete the work until the job (school) is completed and signed off for payment by fcs personnel.
• Halls and common areas safe and free from equipment and debris while school is in session.
• Personnel must be in a distinguishable uniform while on campus and all staff must refrain from interaction with all students, at all times.
• Interactions with staff should only occur if directly related to the work being performed.
• Refrain from audible music while students and staff are present.
• Refrain from internet activity on the fcs guest wireless network unless directly related to the work.
• Drug, alcohol and tobacco- there is a zero-tolerance policy while personnel are on campus for drugs, alcohol, tobacco (including vape and smokeless).
• This includes cars while on property, parking lots, fields etc.
• Background checks- all employees be verified utilizing government sanctioned background checks.
• All records verifying compliance shall be available upon request at any point during the engagement.
