The vendor is required to provide alarm management system for include:
• Township shall notify contractor of when, where and what type of work is needed. it shall be assumed that one (1) person shall perform the required work.
• The township if more than one person is required to do the job.
• The final right to determine if this is acceptable.
• Preventative maintenance: annual maintenance of the fire prevention equipment server, receiver, client, all auxiliary components and all associated peripherals.
• This line item shall include code mandated inspections of peripheral equipment and systems.
• Employees who are factory trained and certified to perform maintenance and repairs on fire prevention equipment servers, receivers, and clients.
• Provide proof of compliance in the form of a certificate or letter of compliance.
• This certificate must be included and made part of the bid proposal at the time of the bid opening.
• Failure to submit the certificate will be grounds for rejection of the bid
• An hourly rate for maintenance work of all components including “central monitoring station” services.
• An hourly rate for repair to Kelton alarm monitoring system and peripherals.
• All work shall be done in accordance with the current industry standards.
• This will include the testing of any secondary power sources for the system.
• A full written report shall be provided for each system tested and inspected to the township.
• Department supervisor or his designee shall agree on commencement of work.
• All new work shall be completed within thirty (30) days of notice to proceed unless otherwise agreed upon.
• Repair work shall be continuous until job is completed.
• Leaving to service other customers while working on a township project is unacceptable unless an extreme emergency arises
• Sufficient technicians on hand to avoid this problem.
• After repairs and new work are completed, the contractor shall return the building and equipment to its original condition.
• Remove all rubbish and debris caused by his work and remove all old equipment no longer needed, when directed by the department
• A clean work site and ensure that all parking areas are kept accessible to township vehicles.
• Repair service shall necessitate troubleshooting the systems, and upon the findings of the technician, the service shall include but not be limited to the repair, replacement, and maintenance of any and all components of the fire prevention equipment, life safety event management system and all associated peripherals located throughout the township including but not limited to burglar alarms, fire alarms, panic alarms and switches, pump process alarms, and alarm communicators.
• All work done as part of this contract (including repairs, service, maintenance and new work) shall be estimated (in writing) and approved prior to any work being performed.
• Estimates must be broken down into labor and materials and shall be itemized for each.
• The township reserves the right to request additional estimates and justification of estimated prices.
• A written service ticket for each call shall be provided by the contractor to the township.
• It shall detail the work that was performed and hours worked, the time started and time completed.
• Work order and service ticket shall also indicate recommendations for future work, if necessary.
• The work order and service ticket must be signed by service technician and township department supervisor or his designee.
• Payment will be withheld until the service ticket is provided to the township.
• An hourly rate contract, the contractor shall check-in and check-out with the township department supervisor or his designee.
