The Vendor is required to provide operates early detection programs, conducts innovative research and provides safe, patient and family-centered care at two cancer centers within the province.
- Requirements gathering
• Preliminary business requirements have been gathered but would need to be validated and confirmed for completeness and accuracy, any prioritization with the respective business units and subject matter experts
- Design, build, and test
• Leveraging the requirements and the existing agency solution, design, configure, and develop the required technical functionality and architecture to meet the needs of the business. Testing of the solution components and sign off would need to be coordinated with the respective business units.
- Release strategy and implementation and data migration
• Approach to planning and structuring required software releases and data migration
- Training and operationalization
• Ensuring the business users are trained on the new software and that appropriate knowledge transfer and supports are in place for the solution to be maintained in operations by the agency team upon project completion.
- The current cervical Screening Program is as follows:
• Informs people with a cervix aged 25-69 when they are due for a pap test (~380k per year)
• Pap testing is the current primary screening test.
• Sends reminders if the test isn’t done
• Notifies clients of their pap test results
• Works with healthcare providers to ensure appropriate follow-up of abnormal Pap test results
- The future Cervical Screening Program will include:
• Human papillomavirus (HPV) primary testing as the primary screening test, supporting both provider-collected and client self-collected samples (self-sampling).
• Updated pathways to reflect the approved clinical guidelines.
• A delivery system for self-sampling, along with subsequent testing and reporting abilities.
• A new navigation service to bridge the gap from receiving an HPV positive result to referrals to oncology.
• Education for the public and for health care providers.
- Cervical screening program software functionality are to include:
• Ability to data migrate historical information from current system.
• Ability to produce various forms of communication in all aspects of a client’s pathway and the ability to manually manipulate as required.
• Ability to transition clients from the 2023 guidelines to the 2025/26 guidelines.
• Ability to document in the chart as required.
• Security and permissions functionality.
