- Documentation of technical, functional and security requirements
1. System architecture documentation:
• Document the system architecture, including software, security features, data flows, and integrations with other systems.
• Create detailed diagrams illustrating the system's architecture and interdependencies.
2. System requirements documentation:
• Gather and document functional requirements through internal stakeholder interviews, workshops, and analysis of existing documentation.
• Define non-functional requirements, including performance, scalability, security, usability, and maintainability requirements.
- Gap analysis and replacement recommendation
• Requirement’s analysis: review and refine the system requirements incorporating feedback from stakeholders.
• Solution architecture design: develop a target solution architecture for the remediation or replacement of the system, considering modern technologies, cloud-based infrastructure, and industry best practices.
• Technology evaluation: evaluate different technology options and platforms for replacing systems, considering factors such as cost, performance, scalability, security, and vendor support.
• Alternative analysis: based on the gap analysis of the existing systems, agency management will select the appropriate direction for the alternative technology platforms.
- System replacement
• Implementation plan: create a comprehensive implementation plan outlining the tasks, resources, timelines, and costs required to configure and build, test, and deploy the replacement system.
• Data migration: document legacy data to be migrated into the replacement system.
