The Vendor is required to provide a paramedic service / emergency medical service (ems) clinical auditing software that can provide:
• Configurable filters to accurately measure compliance with patient care standards and documentation quality
• Real-time, automated audits for efficient monitoring and variance detection
• Prompt delivery and tracking of audit feedback communications
• Data analysis to monitor key system performance indicators and provide deeper insights into business operations and quality improvement areas
- Services include:
• Understanding available Paramedic Service auditing solutions and their capabilities.
• Evaluating features that support compliance monitoring, feedback mechanisms, and data analysis.
• Assessing security, privacy, and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., PHIPA and other applicable standards).
• Identifying integration options with existing ePCR platforms, CAD data, and hospital systems.
• Reviewing best practices for implementation, process improvement and vendor support models.
- Audit Configuration and Execution
• Support customization of filters to reflect regulatory and Paramedic Service requirements
• Perform real-time automated auditing of all Ambulance Call Reports (ACRs) to identify variances to patient care standards and documentation quality requirements.
• Support multi-tiered review workflows, including first-level (initial) and second-level (escalated) audit reviews with role-based access/action controls.
- Feedback and Communication
• Facilitates prompt delivery of audit feedback and tracking of communication
- Management, Monitoring, and Reporting
• Support customizable reporting and trend analysis for individual and system performance
• Offer a centralized dashboard for real-time visibility into audit activity, including audit status, reviewer assignments, flagged records, and key system performance metrics.
• Include configurable alerts/notifications for overdue audits, escalated cases, and other critical findings requiring immediate attention.
• Provide export options in different formats (e.g., PDF, Excel, CSV) for reporting.
- Security and Compliance
• Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), to restrict visibility of sensitive data based on user permissions.
• Provide Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
• Support detailed audit trails and logging for compliance needs
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations such as PHIPA.
• Enable data masking and redaction capabilities for privacy and unbiased audits.
- Integration and Compatibility
• Ensure seamless integration with existing ePCR platform (iMedic) and other sources such as Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) data and hospital data.
- Data Retention and Disposal
• Support configurable data retention rules aligned with regulatory and organizational requirements.
• Ensure secure deletion protocols.
