- Ability to allow authorized students to access the exam utilizing university SAML-based Single Sign-On platform via Campus-Wide Login (CWL) and does not require a separate application account
- Ability to provide clear pre-exam readiness setup (e.g., software installs, etc.) and checks (e.g., device, network, camera, microphone, etc.) to prevent access issues.
- Ability to allow authorized students to assess with the Instructure Canvas LMS (where possible)
- Ability to minimize technology and bandwidth barriers, supporting low bandwidth/offline modes (i.e., offline resilience).
- Ability to provide advance notification of compatibility requirements when accessing through enterprise networks with security controls, VPNs, firewalls.
- Ability to support live assessment for higher security and immediate intervention.
- Ability to include integrity safeguards (e.g., browser lockdown, session recording, and secure identity verification).
- Ability to conduct a thorough room scan before the exam starts.
- Ability to prevent access to unauthorized resources during exams (e.g., blocking of other software applications during an online exam)
- Ability to provide session data (e.g., logs, timestamps, recordings if used) for post exam review by academic integrity specialists to support case management for academic integrity cases.
- Ability to support manual review or audit of flagged behaviors.
- Ability to provide post-exam reports with detailed logs of incidents, timestamps, and system integrity checks.
- Ability to provide a reporting interface that is exportable and interpretable by nontechnical staff.
- Ability to provide instructors and support staff with dashboards for monitoring live exam progress and reviewing post-exam reports.
- Ability to randomize order of multiple-choice options, multiple answers options, and questions within an exam section.
- Ability to provide accessible options for students using assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers, alternative input devices).
