Debt Collection Services

The Vendor is required to provide debt collection services for delinquent accounts for approximately 450 Account Receivable (ARs).
- Services include, but are not limited to, skip tracing, dispute notifications, bankruptcy notifications, communication/documentation, and reporting.
- This file transfer will be done electronically by the tenth of each month. 
- The Contractor shall acknowledge receipt of all forwarded accounts within twenty four (24) hours of receipt.
- Provide the Contractor with additional information, including, but not limited to Account information, data and documentation pertaining to debt, copies of existing contracts, previous collection letters, etc., to assist the Contractor's efforts.
- Operate in accordance with ethical collection practices and provide for the appropriate privacy protection as described in Table A to achieve maximum recovery from debtors.
- Furnish all support used in the recovery of debt collections at the request of agency. Documented support may include, labor, materials, equipment, account interfacing and expertise, using a secure file transfer protocol (FTP) Electronic Data Processing (EDP) system.
- Pursue collections through written and oral communications with debtors, skip tracing for new addresses and report bad debts to credit-reporting bureaus.
- Provide a complete history of collection efforts, in electronic formats, for individual receivables, including copies of all collection letters/emails sent to each debtor, credit bureau reporting, and documentation of any completed, closed-out, or returned accounts to agency.
- Ensure all collection practices are ethical and provide for the appropriate privacy protection.
- request further information, as necessary, such as, but not limited to, account information, data and documentation pertaining to debt, copies of existing contracts, copies of invoices for collections, previous collection letters, etc.
