Meal Plan and Student ID Management System

The Vendor is required to provide innovative solutions for software and hardware for a transaction system, point-of-sale system, online/mobile ordering application, user account management site, and a mobile credential solution, along with other related hardware and software available that can integrate with the various components that make up the university’s campus card program, point-of-sale operations, and genetec door access systems.
- Provide a modern dining management solution that provides flexibility in point of-sale (POS) hardware compatibility, meal plan configuration, transactional reporting, and the base for a mobile ID credential initiative in the future. Most hardware is obsolete and will need to be replaced.
- The solution(s) may include but not limited to needs for Copying, Credentials, Dining and Food Operations, Laundry, Meal Plans, Mobile Credentials, Mobile Ordering, Printing, Recreational Sports Facilities, Retail Operations, Vending, Parking, Library, Attendance Tracking, and User Account Management.
- The solution should include a Mobile App that allows plan holders to check their meal plan balances.
- The app should also include the ability to purchase additional Dining Dollars and block meals to be added to the user’s meal plan balances.
- All meal and Dining Dollar purchase charges must be integrated with the University’s student billing system, Oracle PeopleSoft.
- The system must also support the ability for approved guests to purchase Dining Dollars and block meals on behalf of the main user of the account.
- This process allows students on any meal plan to use a standard cafeteria meal swipe as a cash equivalency at retail food locations within the student union.
- Flexibility in selecting POS systems to replace our existing Micros 3700 devices. The preferred POS solution must support split tenders, including a combination of meal plans, dining dollars, cash and card payments.
