The Vendor is required to provide web-based, hosted instructional management system solution
- Provide professional services to create local assessment data, organize and display student data and provide data around student interventions in regards to grouping and skills in need.
- Assessments (tests, benchmarks, etc.)
• Allow the creation of district, school, teacher-created and customized benchmark tests, which correlate to state student learning standards
• Allow for import and modification of tests acquired from publishers based on appropriate licensing
• Allow for company to input district created and customized benchmark tests directly into the system
• Automatically generate assessments based on teacher selection of state student learning standards to be assessed and number of items to be selected for each standard (once items in item banks have been developed)
• Provide norm referenced, standards based, benchmarks that can be used as a tool to monitor student learning
• Store assessments and makes them retrievable based on author, title, date, standards
- Assessment Items (questions):
• Align (link) individual questions (items) on each assessment state student learning standards;
• Align (link) an item to one or more with state student learning standards;
• Link student responses on each assessment item with state student learning standards in real-time once the assessments are completed and submitted;
• Import and/or create a variety of item types including, but not limited to, constructed response, multiple choice, matching, close stems, short, extended response, essay, drag and drop, and draw
• Import and export item banks from other vendors and sources;
• Access, add, delete, and replace assessment items from the publisher’s assessment items by authorized personnel based on license rights by organization (class, school, district, etc.)
• Allow staff to create items by copying and pasting from word processing documents or other files
• Allow authors with no html knowledge to create/add items
• Use external graphics software packages for the construction of assessment items
• Allow question text to be enhanced with underline, bold, italics, superscripts, subscripts, fractions, etc.
• Allow for mathematical equations, graphics editors, and other equation editing capabilities
• Include source, copyright designation, and permission documentation for assessment items and their prompts
• Prohibit the modification of an item if copyrighted
• Keep all assessment items linked to passages grouped together and presented in the same order (if desired)
• Track individual questions to specific units, objectives, activities, pacing guide, or instructional focus calendar
- Workflow, Approval Process and User Permissions
• Support an approval workflow for items and assessments prior to being incorporated into a shared item bank to incorporate multiple reviews, dates, item ratings, comments, authorship and source;
• Provide security of school and district assessments to appropriate users that allows assessments in the assessment bank to be copied, but not modified, by instructors, unless the user has appropriate security permissions
• Permit the workflow to be turned on and off at various level, including teacher, school, and district/state
• Allow teachers to create items and assessments for their own use without external approvals and tagged as such;
• Restrict teachers from adding or modifying existing items and assessments based on school preference
• Allow for organizational levels for sharing items and assessments following workflow approval (grade level, school, district, state, etc.)
• Tracks teacher’s use of items and assessments to ensure that use is limited by predefined parameters
• Secure items and assessments for district or school-based assessments and items that teachers can access for classroom assessments; ex/ allows for separation of district benchmark assessment items from other teacher-developed assessment items
• Maintain an audit trail that identifies the person who creates, uses, modifies or deletes an item and includes permission levels for each action
• Allows authors to create, edit, and delete their own assessments
• Allows an author to determine if an assessment will be shared among other authors or if an assessment needs to be secure and protected from other authors
• Provide video tutorials showcasing various reports and aspects of the platform

• Flag an assessment as classroom, interim/benchmark, or summative assessment
• Create, manage, and score different versions of the same test
• Allows continuous and automatic saving of student responses during an assessment
• Support the ability for students taking the online assessment to change answers for each section of the assessment before submitting the test
• Allow authors to create timed or un-timed tests
• Allows author to determine the number of items per assessment
• Supports online scheduling and rescheduling of assessments via an online calendar
• Supports online delivery to students and scoring of assessments
• Allows assessments to be scheduled to individual students
• Provides for limiting access to an assessment within date limits
• Supports direct data entry of student results for off-line testing
- Assessment Item Presentation
• Allows random presentation of items
• Supports the ability for students taking the online assessment to randomly answer questions
• Requires students taking the online assessment to answer a specific question before going to the next question
• Provides the option to shuffle choices in lists each time answer options are presented.
