Professional Simultaneous Interpretation Services

The vendor is required to provide professional simultaneous interpretation (SI) services for include:
• provide remote, real-time simultaneous audio interpretation/translation from english to French, and from French to english, for meetings and events.
o SI services must be provided remotely, and the signal will be transmitted to a channel using the zoom or MS teams platforms, as required. - Constraints
• Working alongside with other interpretation providers, such as communication access Realtime translation (cart) and american sign language and langue state.
• The SI interpreter must be able to work in coordination with the other interpretation services, and follow instructions from audiovisual coordinators or technicians, when provided.
• The majority of our meetings and event are recorded for note taking purpose.
• Some of our meetings and event could be broadcasted, this will be communicated in advance.
• Interpretations provided by an artificial intelligence (AI) will not be accepted.
• While our meetings and events are normally within normal business hours, on rare occasions some meetings may occur outside normal business hours and during weekends.
- Department responsibilities
• Providing in advance the date, time and location of the meeting and event;
• Providing in advance to the interpreter the meeting and event documentation;
• Providing a professional audio-video technician and equipment for all on-site meetings and events.
• Responding to the contractor’s questions.
• Providing review, input, and final approval of schedule and deliverables.
- Travel
• There is no travel or accommodation associated with this requirement, as the work is solely performed remotely.
- Contract Period/Term: 3 years
