The vendor is required to provide interpretation service at the pointe-noire interpretation and observation center:
- Behavior and attitudes of interpretation staff:
• Understanding of the scope of the service offered, awareness that they are acting on behalf of parks country.
• Effective communication strategies with visitors in roving interpretation:
o Show good listening skills;
o Seize opportunities to make connections and convey messages;
o Target relevant elements of discourse to make visitors think;
o Adapt interpretation style, verbal and non-verbal language to audience;
o Avoid expressing negative opinions or attitudes.
• Dress code compliance and groomed appearance
• Effective management of difficult clients and complaints
• Animation of the posted activity provided in the contract:
o Work organization and preparation of activities;
o Adherence to schedule:
o Mastery of the specific content of each activity:
o Ability to adapt to different audiences.
• Punctuality: arrival/departure times to and from the site and adherence to activity schedule
• Use, handling and maintenance of loaned equipment
• Administrative tasks: data entry, courtesy calls, etc.
- Inter-team relations
• Team spirit and collaboration between members of both teams
• Efficient and courteous communication between staff members
• Respect of shared workspaces
• Proper use of communication channels and information sharing between the two teams
- Visitor safety and prevention
• Prompt reporting of any damage, anomaly or risk to visitor or employee safety
• Visitor safety: surveillance of premises and communication with visitors to correct their behavior.
