- On-Demand Remote Interpretation and Translation Services Include:
1. Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI): OPI refers to off-site interpreting services provided via telephone.
• Suppliers awarded in this category must be capable of providing interpreting services for any known language on an on-demand basis.
2. Video Remote Interpretation (VRI):
• VRI refers to off-site interpreting services delivered through videoconferencing technology using equipment and a high-speed internet connection with sufficient bandwidth.
• Suppliers awarded in this category must be able to provide interpreting services for American Sign Language (ASL) as well as other languages listed in the specifications.
3. Document Translation:
• Document translation is the process of converting written communication from one language to another.
• Suppliers awarded in this category must be capable of providing accurate and culturally appropriate translation services for any known language.
