• Provide translation, graphic, and pre-press services staff that have experience in translation and interpreting industry and specifically in the translation of health, public health, and education materials for official state of business and projects which include plain language material, brochures, social media posts, data briefs, patient and parent handbooks, flyers, press releases, health advisories, videos, website content, publications, letters, forms, vital documents, or other written materials (collectively referred to as “documents”) that target the population of limited english speaking people, non-English speaking people, and the deaf, deafblind , hard of hearing community, and vulnerable and economically disadvantaged populations.
• Provide language translation and oral interpretation assistance and reasonable accommodation for employees, applicants, recipients of health, public health, language access services, social services, or participants of agency sponsored events.
• Provide on-demand or scheduled phone translation services for agency customers.
• Scheduled phone translations may be required for some languages, e.g. Mesoamerican languages.
• All virtual translation services will be scheduled in advance.
• On demand phone services are required to be available 24/7 365 days a year.
• Provide language interpreters and translators who remain professional, respectful and act as a neutral party at all times.
• Provide assistance in language access and oral interpretation and translation in internal and external meetings, training sessions, conferences, and other agency sponsored events.
• Provide language translation services based on words per year including, but not limited to, the following languages.

- Interpretation services (oral and sight) (services involve interpreting spoken language in real-time during virtual meetings or events)
• Provide support services to agency by providing oral multilingual interpretation (simultaneous and consecutive) services in a variety of settings involving spoken communications from one source language to the target language, as identified above.
• Provide interpretation of all vital documents intended for use statewide, including essential public website content, into at least the top five threshold (Spanish, Chinese, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Korean) or more threshold languages spoken by persons with limited english proficiency, including asl in state, per most current census data.
• Provide qualified and experienced language professionals with relevant specialist knowledge in the required field of expertise, as applicable in performance of the services requested.

• Provide sign language interpretation and oral interpretation services in any spoken language, upon request for all public contact, including sight translation.

• Virtual services such as asl interpreting are not on demand.
• All requests for asl interpreting are scheduled in advance.
• Ensure essential public website content is provided in asl and other sign languages video clips.
• Interpreting and translating ideas related to health equity, public health initiatives, health care (including use of medical terminology), climate change, and other public health programs.
• Provide real-time captioning by computer-assisted real time transcription (cart) and real-time full-motion video and audio over a dedicated high-speed, wide-bandwidth video connection or wireless connection that delivers high-quality video images that do not produce lags, choppy, blurry, or grainy images, or irregular pauses in communication.
