The Vendor is required to provide translation, typesetting, and proofreading services performed under this agreement are: (1) Spanish, (2) Chinese (traditional), (3) Hindi, (4) Japanese, (5) Khmer, (6) Korean, (7) Tagalog, (8) Thai, and (9) Vietnamese; however, additional languages may be required.
- Ballot labels and ballot title and summaries for the voter information guide (VIG) and ballots
• Within extremely tight timeframes, contractor must provide translations, typesetting, proofing, and electronic documents of, but not limited to, November 3, 2026, general election ballot labels and ballot titles and summaries in the nine (9) standard languages: Spanish, Chinese (traditional), Hindi, Japanese, Khmer, Korean, Tagalog, Thai, and Vietnamese.
• The contractor shall also be required to add additional information for supporters and opponents on the ballot labels.
• The composed page format of the specified languages must conform exactly page-for-page to the English format.
• The translations must be consistent throughout all documents.
• The density of the type shall be 2400 dpi output.
• Required to produce electronic files in the nine (9) standard languages (additional languages may be required) and will be presented with a schedule identifying activities and deadline dates and times
• No “contemporary colloquialisms” will be considered as an acceptable translation unless specifically called for in the text provided for translation.
• All translations must follow exactly, or as closely as possible, to the layout and format of the English document and be free of errors.
• This includes translated deliverables, translations, margins, and font size and type.
• Translations must be verbatim in context.
• The contractor shall ensure that the translations reflect the local dialect of languages spoken in state

• Production of the initial ballot labels and ballot titles and summaries pages will include the creation of advisory body versions that the SOS will provide to an advisory body established by the secretary of state (SOS), as well as public display versions that will be subject to public comment, and court-ordered changes.
- Ballot labels and ballot titles and summaries style guidelines:
• The fonts for the ballot labels and ballot titles and summaries must match as closely as possible to the English version.
• The Vietnamese ballot labels and ballot titles and summaries must be provided in VNI and Unicode fonts.
• The particular language of the translated ballot labels and ballot titles and summaries must be clearly indicated on a header.
• Style will be full caps in a sans-serif font.
• All translations must follow exactly, or as closely as possible, to the layout and format of the English document, free of errors.
• This includes translated deliverables, translations, margins, and font size and type.
• Translations must be verbatim in context.
• Ensure that the translations reflect the local dialect of languages spoken in state.
