Medicare Reimbursement and Reporting Consulting Services

The vendor is required to provide consulting services to ensure compliance with Medicare and Medicaid regulations for the annual cost report filing process.
- Provide support to the System in the completion of cost reports (including all required support for protested amounts), ongoing technical assistance during audits, assistance with any necessary adjustments or appeal filings, and final submission of amended cost reports.
- Provide training on new Medicare cost reports and developments to agency Staff.
- Provide reimbursement consulting services on related Medicare issues not specifically outlined in this RFP, e.g. cost-to-charge ratios, interim payments, outlier payments regulatory guidance, and revenue optimization opportunities.
- Ongoing Medicare Appeals Assistance:
• Provide other support as needed to meet the requirements of CMS, NGS, and the throughout the term of the contract (and perhaps beyond for appeals filed during the term of the contract);
• Assist on an as needed basis with analysis and development of materials related to resolution of appeals filed prior to start of the contract period.
