The vendor is required to provide a brokerage consulting services for employee benefits programs and services to the authority.
- A broker that will work closely in the design, development and implementation of benefit plans including: medical, dental, vision, life, disability, wellness, voluntary benefits and compliance.
- A proactive business partner that will aid in finding cost effective plans and supporting agency wellness initiatives.
- A partner that is willing to provide training, guidance and information to ensure proper management of benefit plans and compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations and requirements.
- Account management services, including, but not limited to, employee assistance and advocacy, open enrollment assistance, including new-hire onboarding, enrollment technology and employee communication services.
- Assure that insurance policies are placed with reputable and financially responsible insurers.
- Provide strategic planning, underwriting and actuarial services, including short-term and long-term planning, goal setting, plan design, contribution analysis, vendor negotiations, contract review, data analysis, reporting, benchmarking, financial projections and claims analysis.
- Develop self-funded plan accrual rates, model employee contribution changes, projections for alternative plan designs and/or employee contributions or funding arrangements.
- Communication & employee engagement, provide open enrollment materials and services, new hire onboarding materials and services, HR technology, automation resources and platforms and ongoing communication efforts.
- Wellness, engage in strategic planning driven by organizational objectives and culture, conduct employee survey’s, provide program oversite, vendor coordination, employee communications geared toward health/wellness education and process for measuring return on investment and program success/failure.
- Provide monthly billing and reconciliation assistance as needed.
- Provide other services customarily provided by insurance brokers.
- Provide expertise and insight on benefits technology alternatives and solutions.
- Contract Period/Term: 4 years
