Hospital and Professional Coding Audits Services

The Vendor is required to provide of Coding Auditing Reviews on 'government reimbursed' discharges.
- Perform audits on professional fee billing for physicians and provide written education and feedback to physicians on specific issues identified. contractor will assist with guidelines for coders pertaining to issues such as the identification and collection of diagnostic and procedural data, application of international classification of disease (ICD)-10 coding rules, regulations, and guidelines; compliance with uniform health hospital data set (UHDDS) data collection guidelines; and appropriate use of DRG/CPT assignment.
- Services will include consultation with the compliance and health information management (HIM) departments on inpatient/outpatient coding unit structure; monitoring government regulations related to clinical documentation and diagnosis related groups (DRG)/current procedural terminology (CPT)/ambulatory payment classification (APC) assignment on inpatient and outpatient discharges.
