Third Party Liability Contractor Services

The vendor required to provide third-party liability (TPL) contractor services to support the recoveries and reclamation program.
- Requirement:
•    Identify liable third parties through data matching and coordination with insurers, employers, and state databases. 
•    Including but not limited to provider relations and provider education. 
•    Cost avoidance measures to prevent inappropriate Medicaid payment when third-party coverage exists. 
•    Recovery of payments from third-party carriers after claims have been paid. 
•    Coordination with the federal centers for medicare and Medicaid services (CMS) to ensure compliance with federal cost-sharing and reporting requirements. 
•    Administration and implementation of the health insurance premium payment (HIPP) program.
