The Vendor is required to provide a fully insured, voluntary group vision insurance plan and related administrative services for eligible employees, retirees, and their eligible dependents. Coverage is expected to become effective January 1, 2027, with open enrollment for the 2027 plan year taking place in October 2026. Annual premium rate contract calendar would be July 1st to June 30th.
- Under this program:
• World Insurance serves as the administrator for the insurance plans.
• Employees enroll directly with the administrator.
• Employees pay 100% of premiums.
• The administrator provides enrollment files to the State to facilitate payroll deductions for premiums.
• The State does not maintain a formal contract for these services.
• The State does not endorse, sponsor, or assume any obligation for these insurance plans.
• The State as the employer is not part of the insurance relationship.
- Approximately 6,000 employees are currently enrolled in voluntary vision products; retirees are not eligible under the current agreement.
