Data and Telephone Technician Labor Services

The vendor is required to provide to pre-qualify vendors capable of providing data and telephone technician labor services and phone systems throughout the state as needed and requested by the state communications network.
- The work for each project shall primarily be associated with the installation of new cables for voice, data and phone systems; and moves, additions and changes to equipment
- The electronic industry association/telecommunications industry association (EIA/TIA): building telecommunications wiring standards are
• EIA/TIA-568: commercial building telecommunications wiring standard.
• TSB-36: technical systems bulletin additional cable specifications for unshielded twisted pair cables.
• technical systems bulletin (TSB-40): additional transmission specifications for unshielded twisted-pair connecting hardware.
• EIA/TIA-569: commercial building standard for telecommunications pathways and spaces.
• EIA/TIA-570: residential and light commercial telecommunications wiring standard
- A combination person level is an all-around general telephone/data technician whose skill sets include, but are not limited to, installation, inside and outside cable pulling, troubleshooting, repair and system programming – all consistent with industry standards.  
- There shall be no reimbursable expenses associated with this agreement separate from the compensation referred to in this section.  vendor shall be solely responsible for all costs and expenses, including, but not limited to, travel, mileage, meals, lodging, equipment, supplies, personnel, training, salaries, benefits, insurance, conferences, long distance telephone, and all other costs and expenses of vendor.
- Installer – copper cable, key telephone systems (or kts which is a method of allowing several central office lines to be accessed from multiple telephone sets), moves, adds, changes, repairs, etc.
