Demographic Study Services

The Vendor is required to provide a demographics study services include:
• Evaluate past, current and future population trends as relevant to school age children in county from 2015 to 2035 by school and district.
• Collaborate with county to evaluate existing and future areas of development as relevant to current division facility resources.
• Examine approved housing developments within the school district and model the complete buildout of the district integrating general timing for new developments.
• Utilize housing units and school age children per unit to develop a projection for total enrollment.
• Utilize geographic information systems (GIS) with maps and analysis that visualizes what is happening in the district.
• Evaluate implications of current and future economic development.
• Analyze current and future demographic population growth/decline regionally.
• Examine home values, income levels, live births, unemployment rate, census data, and land use that relates to district boundaries.
• Provide an overview of population trends, birth rates, and migration patterns within the district.
• Project future student enrollment incorporating historical enrollment data, live birth data, development activity, demographic trends, and other information that would assist with providing an accurate forecast.
• Provide a ten (10) year forecast of enrollment and population within the district by grade level k–12 including socioeconomic/ethnic characteristics of students.
• The demographer will provide a complete study including demographic maps, tables, and charts, fully explaining the study.
• Quantify per pupil economic impact on future student enrollment.
• As part of the contract, the demographer should plan to make a minimum of two (2) presentations to the district including the school board and potentially the board of supervisors.
• It is preferred that presentations be made in person so any charges for travel will be included in the quote price.
