The Vendor is required to provide bilingual and accessible media training as and when required at the agency, with a primary focus on agency leadership and subject in areas of high public interest.
- The training will:
• Build understanding of the modern media landscape.
• Clarify typical expectations of media.
• Develop skills for conducting effective media interviews.
- Enhancing public trust through clear and confident communication.
- Supporting Reconciliation through respectful and inclusive messaging.
- Promoting regulatory excellence via consistent and transparent public engagement.
- As part of its 2024–2027 Strategic Plan, the agency aims to strengthen its engagement with Canadians, including Indigenous Peoples through clear and credible communication in the public domain.
- Training Design and Delivery
• Design and deliver training modules tailored to agency leaders and subject matter.
• Training must be available in English and French.
• Delivery formats must include virtual, hybrid and in-person options.
• Training and associated learning materials must be accessible in accordance with the act (e.g., captioning, screen-reader compatibility, accessible venues).
• Draft course materials must be provided to the project authority (pa) for feedback, comments and recommendations. Following the updates, the contractor will provide the final version of the course
• Materials, proposed course syllabus and training regimens electronic multimedia products for the project authority’s (pa) approval and confirmation to proceed.
• Contractor must conduct a dry-run pilot session to a pre-determined group to test interactivity, usefulness and on-camera sessions.
• Contractor will use any feedback provided in these sessions to update course materials prior to delivery.
• Prioritize local trainers and venues accessible by public transit where in-person delivery is required to manage costs and reduce travel emissions.
