The vendor is required to provide a more modern, user-friendly, and accessible website that serves as the airport’s digital front door.
- The new website should enhance the user experience for travelers, business partners, and the community while improving functionality, security, performance, and the overall strategic communication objectives for airport.
- Website redesign initiative will accomplish the following goals including, but not limited to:
1. Create an intuitive user experience for website visitor’s airport customers.
2. Create an aesthetically appealing, navigationally strategic, website for the airport’s internal and external customers.
3. Create defined gateways/paths for all stakeholder groups including but not limited to: leisure, business, and military passengers, community partners, airport partners, information seekers, and businesses and individuals in the air cargo industry.
4. Convey the fly city experience of traveling through, working with/for, and visiting our airport.
5. The ability to keep the site(s) current (nonproprietary), accurate and engaging by employing up-to-date technology standards, such as:
• A content management system (CMS) that allows non-technical staff to make routine updates. WordPress is the city’s preferred CMS platform due to existing familiarity and use across other city websites; however, vendors may propose alternate CMS platforms if they provide compelling benefits and meet all stated functionality and usability requirements.
• Device-agnostic responsive design for various display sizes; including mobile, desktop, and tablet
• Social media channel integration (live feed or curated posts from Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn)
• Web analytics (google and/or similar)
• Video (ability to embed videos into the website)
• Map functionality (terminal maps, airport map)
• Real-Time weather updates
• Updates on emergency situations
• Web form functionality (the ability for airport to create, edit, and capture results)
• Other interactive media from third party sources (real-time parking availability, flight status and tracker, shuttle tracker, etc.)
• Web accessibility standards (including section 508 ADA compliance)
• Support of multiple languages as needed by airport
