The Vendor is required to provide for a website content management system that will host a website and allow department to create, edit, organize and publish content on the site.
- Provide for a webpage content management system (CMS) that will host and migrate college current webpage.
- The CMS will enable department to create, edit, organize and publish content on college website.
- Ease-Of-Use:
• User-friendly content management environment should be easily accessible to PR staff and other designated contributors.
• Users should be able to see formatting changes on the screen without having to tinker with the code.
• The interface for editing pages should resemble popular, user-friendly word processing applications that allow for basic features such as setting obstacles for clean word flow around images and graphics.
- Branding:
• The CMS should ensure that college website renders clearly and is easy to navigate on all devices (pc, mobile, tablets)
- Navigation:
• All navigation elements, including menu items, should be simple to organize and edit as necessary.
- Search:
• We require a “search” feature that can be easily manipulated to ensure desired pages are atop results list.
- Accessibility:
• The CMS should enhance the college’s ability to provide an easy-to-use, fully featured, accessible environment for website visitors.
• This includes a fully responsive design and adherence to WCAG 2.1.
- Workflow:
• The CMS must provide a robust workflow mechanism that supports different levels of workflow complexity. For example: a news release may be posted by one individual while an academic program page might require several people across multiple departments to review and approve before the information becomes ‘live’
- Multimedia:
• The system should support, natively, the use of video and audio files.
- Hosting:
• The CMS must incorporate cloud hosting with full, regular back-ups, 24/7 monitoring and seamless update capabilities.
- Integrated Components:
• Integrated Emergency Alert System (banner or popups) that will automatically update via prompt from our college Alert system
• Built-in link checker for broker internal and external links.
• Robust employee directory that seamlessly pulls data from existing databases with individual profile capability.
• Integrated calendar with sub-calendar capability – ability to have department specific (and also external agency event) calendars broken out from the main calendar.
• Readily available, out-of-the-box add-on features for future integration, rather than having to build modules from scratch, such as: course schedule, course catalog, etc.
• Full layout templates that are ready-Togo and customizable as well as price list for creation of additional templates that may be required after launch.
• Easily interchangeable home page banner for promoting specific events, programs and campaigns.
