- Court is redesigning the public website and Content Management System (CMS).
- Improve public access to District Court information and services, funds and additional resources have been allocated to engage a web design and development vendor, upgrade or acquire a new content management system (CMS) and platform, and redesign the District Court’s websites within courts. Website to improve the user experience, incorporating analytics and user feedback to inform continuous improvement.
- Key Project Goals
• User Experience & Design – Create intuitive, audience-focused, accessible templates that support content branding and improved usability.
• Content Strategy & Information Architecture – Deliver scalable navigation and content structure that support filtering, tagging, and grouping by topic, audience, and court level.
• Front-End Development & Integration – Implement responsive, mobile-optimized templates that perform efficiently.
• Search & Document Management – Provide design elements and configuration support for metadata-based search, document libraries, and scalable digital asset management.
• Accessibility & Compliance – Ensure all components of the public-facing website and mobile applications comply with WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards (2.2 preferred) and support assistive technologies.
• Training & Knowledge Transfer – Provide training and documentation for Court staff on template usage and publishing workflows. Include 60 days of post-launch support.

• Redesign the site’s navigation, homepage, and landing pages to better serve the public and internal users.

• Flexible content areas for announcements, alerts, and high-visibility updates.
• All public-facing website components and mobile applications, including digital materials, including but not limited to, visual design, templates, and site structure meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirement with a preference for meeting WGAC 2.2.
• Assistive technology support regardless of whether individual content pages are updated during the project.
• Includes a built-in accessibility scanning tool that provides an Accessibility Conformance Report and evidence of validation before final launch and allows for continuous compliance checks.
• Display documents in a user-friendly, accessible format without requiring custom content entry.
• Real-time analytics and reporting dashboards that allow content administrators to monitor usage trends, search activity, and site performance.
• Support dynamic news or event displays, including optional RSS feed integration.
• Include a searchable, filterable staff or judicial directory with grouping by role, location, or court level. Integration with Active Directory may be explored for automation.
• Include an interactive event calendar and filtering and audience targeting options.
• Integration with Central Case Management System for daily docket schedules
- The solution must provide an intuitive content contributor experience system that provides a flexible display and fields that allows the users to easily create, delete, edit, customize code, organize, publish and track pages and links.
- API/Web Service resources and code/developed functionality to deliver content to a second screen experience
- Templates that are accessible, theme plug-in development, override capability with simple interface to plug-in new themes and add/edit themes
- Functionality for extended/custom menu and taxonomy development
