The Vendor is required to provide operational guidance services for scientific writing and proposal development services.
- Proposal development and editorial services to support the research infrastructure and extramural funding pillars of the research strategic plan.
- Work Product:
- A work product is defined as one distinct project.
1. Pre-proposal Consultation: Awarded proposer will assist the investigator with framing their proposals to match a targeted funder/ request for proposal priorities.
2. Single Proposal Review: Awarded proposer will provide a compliance and editorial review of the University’s proposal to assess the strength and conciseness of the submission.
3. Responding to Reviewers: Awarded proposer will gather feedback from the University reviewers and adjust the proposal accordingly.
4. Letters of Support: Awarded proposer will work collaboratively with the University in drafting these letters and obtaining signatures as needed.
5. Manuscript Development: Awarded proposer will assist authors through the peer review process; to include developmental editing and copywriting for manuscripts.
6. Media Support: The Awarded proposer will advise on and assist in development of media aimed at enhancing clarity and competitiveness of research applications (i.e., diagrams, tables, figure components).
- Additional information to include:
•A resume that clearly demonstrates expertise in scientific proposal writing/editing for all service providers within the applicant’s workforce.
•Documentation and samples of relevant expertise (e.g. anonymized/de-identified submissions to federal and major foundation funding sources).
•references from clients within the last 5 years who can offer specific knowledge of the applicant’s scientific proposal writing/editing expertise and experience, and who can speak to outcomes
•Indicate all experience working with state System investigators, including specifics of investigator names, year of service, services provided, proposal mechanisms, and outcome.
•Any certifications relevant to grant writing and project management, as applicable.
