The vendor is required to provide writing services for local, state and federal grant funding assistance to curry county with a focus on grant projects and applications for needed infrastructure and public spaces as well as other public service projects.
- A review of all recent grant funded projects, county’s comprehensive plan, current planning efforts, infrastructure plans and maps for the service areas will be conducted.
- Work with key staff to develop the necessary supporting materials typically needed for grant application development.
- Include planning documents, i.e., masterplans, asset management plans, and risk assessments; the county's infrastructure capital improvement plan (ICIP); any relevant and available budgetary financial information; community and county capacity information; recent external audits; matching funds information; maps; and other critical information as needed.
- The offeror may be required to obtain quotes to be included in applications if requested by the county.
- This will be used to develop "boiler plate" language for future grant applications, in the form of a spreadsheet, word or similar document that includes typically asked questions on grant applications and the answers to said questions, which will serve the county after the term of the services is completed.
- Research will be conducted on each of the projects identified in the comprehensive plan and a calendar of opportunities will be generated.
- The calendar will include the estimated lead time for the preparation of grant applications to ensure competitiveness.
- Being mindful of the short timeframe of funding for the scope of services, the goal will be to prepare draft application narratives and information for future funding opportunities with the key staff of the county.
- Funding opportunities open within the term of the grant assistance project period, a summary of each grant with the link to the grant webpage or notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) shall be sent to the county community services administrator for approval prior to contacting key county staff.
- These applications must be submitted by the county.
- The offeror is responsible for the majority of application components but not limited to, program narrative, budget, budget narrative and draft letters of support.
- Provide the grant application components to county for submission no later than seventy-two (72) hours prior to the grant application deadline.
- Provide all documentation related to submission of a grant i.e., maps, letters of support, and application in a timeframe as agreed upon by both parties.
