Health Assessment and Consultative Examinations Services

The Vendor is required to provide health assessment and consultative examinations (ce) services for developing medical evidence and making the medical disability determination for claimants under the law of the social security administration disability program.

•    A service that provides an assessment of an individual’s physical well-being and medical history to determine and diagnose physical health problems and to recommend intervention and treatment.
- Actual service description: 
•    Psychological, somatic, speech and language, audiology, and other consultative examinations (CE’s) by a licensed contracted provider to assist ddsa in determining claimants’ medical Eligibility for social security disability benefits. 
•    This service does not include recommended intervention and treatment.
- Developing medical evidence and making the medical determination whether the claimant is or is not disabled or blind under the law.
