The vendor is required to provide security services for performing various duties relating to high-rise building tenants, visitors and property management.
- The attendant must be articulate, diplomatic, and attentive, organized and have excellent public relations skills.
- They must exercise sound judgment and discretion resolving unexpected or unusual situations.
- The safety and wellbeing of the building tenants is dependent largely on the incumbent's job knowledge and competent execution.
- Include for service:
• Courteously acknowledge visitors, contractors, and tenants as they arrive and depart.
• Assist visitors and guests with directions and assistance and make them feel comfortable while awaiting meetings, etc.
• Ensure the security of the building by conducting periodic inspection of the building interior floors. may entail extensive walking and possible stair climbing.
• Control and enforce the building access policy to include securing building entrances and exits.
• Enforce delivery and building maintenance procedures.
• Monitor internal alarms.
• Date and time stamp procurement proposals and mail.
• Monitor security cameras and access control systems for safety or security concerns and respond per protocol.
• Respond and assist during emergencies including contacting emergency services for fire alarms, medical incidents, elevator entrapments and evacuations.
• Prepare and disseminate incident, shift summary and log reports as prescribed.
• Specific duties and requests assigned by property management or supervision.
• Keep management informed of any serious incidents such as injuries, damage, vandalism, thefts, maintenance problems, or any other incidents that may involve liability.
• Prepare documentation on technical problems, incidents, front line investigative issues and other security related matters.
• Report suspicious activity to appropriate personnel immediately.
• Confront individuals on site after hours and ask them to leave if necessary.
• Be a deterrent to wrongful and unlawful activities.
• Enforce building policies and procedures as directed.
• Promote safety to prevent accidents.
• Prepare for (set up chairs, prepare refreshments, etc.) and clean up after meetings.
• Provide escorts for tenant upon request.
• Sign for and maintain control of packages delivered to the facility
• Ensure all smokers are in designated smoking areas.
• Assist contractors and delivery persons with the freight elevator.
• Patrol, monitor, and enforce parking areas to include ticketing and towing as directed.
• Maintain contractor and visitor logs.
• Escort contractors to restricted building areas
• Maintain lost and found articles.
• Open main doors and assist with heavy packages as needed.
• Notify departments to pick-up delivered items. (newspapers/packages) as directed.
• Pick up any trash found in the elevators, floors, grounds, or lobby during rounds.
• Inspect fire extinguishers and report any expired to maintenance.
• Report any lights out to maintenance.
• Enforce no skateboarding policy on the property.
