The vendor is required to provide case management services to individuals involved with division who are suspected or confirmed to be using alcohol or drugs but are not already receiving services from a community provider focusing on drug and alcohol use.
- This further includes successful bidder liaison involvement in division team decision meetings (TDM) that occur when division is considering removal of a child in division custody due to safety concerns or division group supervision (framework) that occurs when the division case worker needs case direction or in transferring a case with a safety agreement in place.

• Screening the individual for substance use treatment
• Motivating the individual to receive services
• Identifying and breaking down barriers to treatment
• Following up on progress in treatment
• Assisting the individual in case planning needs around substance use
• Participating in discharge planning
• Facilitating a support (not treatment) group for individuals using substances
• Participating in family team meetings

• Screening the individual for substance use treatment needs and
• Connecting the individual to appropriate services, if recommended
• Documenting progress in the division electronic database, focus
• Connecting the division case worker with a substance use treatment provider
• Obtaining collateral information about an individual on their treatment recommendations and progress
• Assist any uninsured individual in applying for Medicaid or private insurance to pay for actual treatment services or locate a substance use treatment provider who will treat the individual without insurance.
