The Vendor is required to provide full-service signage provider capable of delivering a turn-key solution that encompasses creative design, fabrication, installation, and comprehensive warranty services for both interior and exterior signage.
- Produce unique and dynamic design alternatives that strengthen department branding and achieve timely design consensus with city staff;
- Lead the project seamlessly from initial concept through construction close-out, maintaining the agreed development schedule and coordinating with the city’s project manager, architect of record, and general contractor;
- Provide a single, dedicated point of contact and leverage deep knowledge of multiple manufacturers to ensure cost-effective, code-compliant solutions.

- Design Development
• Conduct site survey, code review, and photo documentation.
• Facilitate stakeholder vision workshops to confirm branding objectives and wayfinding goals.
• Integrate Redlands PD branding into conceptual sign family and graphic standards.
• Establish sign type hierarchy, message schedule, and numbering system.
• Produce scaled location plans, elevations, and sight-line studies.
• Provide prototypes or mock-ups as requested.
• Refine cost estimate to align with project budget.
- Fabrication Documentation
• Finalize material selections and obtain City approvals.
• Prepare detailed shop drawings—including structural, electrical, and mounting details—for each sign type.
• Implement quality-control checkpoints and factory inspections.
• Coordinate production across all manufacturers and specialty vendors.
• Apply sustainable material and fabrication practices where feasible. - Installation
• Coordinate installation logistics with the General Contractor (GC), City Project Manager (PM), and on-site trades.
• Implement site protection measures and adhere to all safety regulations.
• Install all interior and exterior signage per approved drawings.
• Perform surface repair, touch-ups, and sealing as required.
• Address and close out punch-list items.
- Close-Out & Warranty
• Submit sealed as-built drawings in PDF and CAD formats.
• Provide final, comprehensive sign message schedule.
• Deliver operating and maintenance (O&M) manuals for all sign types.
• Conduct on-site training for City staff covering routine maintenance and sign replacement procedures.
• Provide a minimum one-year parts-and-labor warranty (industry standard or better).
