The vendor is required to provide construction manager at risk (CMAR) wayfinding signage services may be expected to input during the design development, fabrication, and installation phases.
- This includes coordination, procurement, installation, and any required infrastructure such as electrical connections, structural supports, and integration with existing systems.
- The CMAR will be expected to ensure all components meet design specifications, campus branding standards, and applicable accessibility and safety codes.
- The CMAR will collaborate closely with the owner, design team, and stakeholders to support the following major components:
• Site assessment and validation of the wayfinding plan.
• Coordination of sign placement, construction details, and utility clearances.
• Oversight and coordination of fabrication and installation.
• Compliance with all local, state, and federal codes, including ADA requirements.
• Budget and schedule management.
• Value engineering and constructability reviews during the preconstruction phase.
- Pre-construction phase
• Constructability review of site and construction plans.
• Meetings with county and design team for project planning and resolve open issues.
• Develop sitework and wayfinding budgets.
• Actively solicit subcontractor interest in the project.
• Bid and develop the final guaranteed maximum price (GMP) per project.
• Provide cost data and value engineering solutions as needed.
• Manage the construction schedule and actively pursue solutions to maintain the final completion date.
• Self-performed work must be competitive and the contractor may be required to bid against other subcontractors for self-performed work.
- Construction phase
• Provide construction services according to the construction agreement and drawings.
• Provide reporting, including but not limited to, construction schedule, updates, and minutes.
• Provide all site safety management and compliance with osha standards and criteria.
• Manage a quality control program that meets or exceeds minimum industry standards.
• Coordinate all control testing and inspections.
• Meet all licensing requirements.
• Provide services for project close out process and address needs during the project warranty period.
