GIS Contractor Services

The vendor is required to provide professional contractor services for GIS data and related deliverables.
- GIS needs including, but not limited to, spatial analysis, data visualization, geodatabase maintenance and custom application development.
- The engagement between the town and contractor may be remote and/or in person with coordination requirements and may pertain confidentiality obligations.
- Currently without an internal GIS system manager, and thus this work is required to update and maintain GIS records on parcel changes.
- Annual parcel updates
1. Based on recorded plans from the county registry of deeds, we require the following parcel changes:
• Subdivisions
• Parcel merges
• Lot line adjustments
• Adding structures to parcels
- These changes are updated in our CAMA system (vision). 
- We then generate a massGIS extract, which is provided to the GIS technician to implement the updates.
- Map book creation
1. Once GIS updates are completed, the technician provides a pdf map book that we send to county graphics for printing.
• Small map books are printed and bound annually
• Large maps are printed every three years
• Neighborhood map (as needed) - Neighborhood map
1. Historic preservation deliverables
• Historic inventory and historic districts
• Update/correct properties displayed on the layer shown in people GIS for the comprehensive inventory of historic, architectural and archeological assets
• Create new presentation format for map of all local historic districts
- Planning/zoning department deliverables
1. Floodplain protection overlay district
• Update firm map panels shown on zoning map 
• Format corrected information for display as zoning map part b
• Incorporate corrected layers into people GIS
2. Groundwater protection overlay district
• Remove watershed/accord pond watershed and county aquifer protection district from people GIS
• Add bounds of the groundwater protection overlay district to the zoning overlay districts layer in people GIS
3. Multifamily overlay district/zoning map part c
• Add the bounds of the multifamily overlay district to the zoning overlay districts layer in people GIS
- Building department deliverables
• Auto populate issues with incorrect and/or missing information
• Update building addresses
- General coordination
• Work with people GIS to incorporate parcel/layer updates into online mapping program and adjust current displays
• Provide level iii compliant data sets to massGIS.
