The Vendor is required to provide online turnkey ArcGIS software training.
- Analysts are responsible for a range of activities, which include producing and providing mapping support, designing, and building scalable data models, cleaning and transforming data, and enabling analytic capabilities through various deliverables.
- ArcGIS training is to strategically expand the use of ArcGIS to advance our regional efforts in the mapping field.
- Building greater capacity in Geographic Information System (GIS), a framework for gathering, managing, and analyzing spatial data, it allows integration of many other types of data.
- The training will provide board Analysts with the ability to calculate spatial location and organize layers of information into visualizations using maps and using ArcGIS Pro 3.1.0 and newer versions.
- With this unique capability, GIS reveals deeper insights into data, such as patterns, relationships, and situations.
- ArcGIS 1 (Introduction to GIS using Arc-GIS Pro):
• Introduction to GIS components & capabilities;
• GIS Data – use and collection methods;
• Managing GIS data;
• Exploring coordinate systems – map projections and distortion;
• Mapping and visualization;
• Understanding GIS Analysis Tools (basic geoprocessing tools); and,
• Putting GIS to use – applying the geographic approach.
- Key Skills & Outcomes:
• Identify appropriate data to support a mapping project;
• Create a map, add data to it and symbolize map features to support the map's purpose;
• Share data, maps, and other content to an organizational portal (ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise); and,
• Use GIS analysis tools and share GIS maps on the web.
- Arc-GIS 2 (Arc-GIS Pro Fundamentals):
• ArcGIS Pro introduction and features;
• Working with GIS data – data storage, location, and properties;
• Querying and manipulating data – edit layers and attribute tables;
• Symbolizing layers- data visualization, differentiation, and classification;
• Controlling feature displays and queries;
• Adding text to a map; and,
• Creating features from tabular data.
- Key Skills & Outcomes:
• Organize, create, and edit geographic data;
• Manage, symbolize, and label map layers;
• Analyze & model GIS data to solve spatial problems; and,
• Share maps and analysis results.
• Provide instruction specific to ArcGIS Pro 3.1.0 and newer versions;
• Provide the link and all training materials a few days in advance of the first day of class;
• Accommodate participants in the following time zones: Pacific, Mountain, and Central;
• Provide the name of the facilitator, their telephone number and email address, a few days before the first day of a course or upon registration;
• Identify one point of contact responsible for scheduling, logistics, providing updates/status reports and for all quality assurance activities with the Administrator;
• Provide quality directives, teaching aids, course materials, and other necessary pedagogical tools that meet accessibility standards;
• Report issues related to attendance and the impact on learning to the Administrator in a timely manner so that educational and administrative measures can be taken as required;
• Ensure that all facilitators are ready to present virtually at the scheduled date and time;
• Technical support line or live chat will be available 15 minutes prior to the start of all training courses and until 30 minutes after the class starts to answer any urgent questions from learners; and,
