Surveying and Mapping Services

The Vendor is required to provide surveying and mapping services on an as needed basis.
- Services include:
•    Consultants shall prepare field topographic and boundary surveys, aerial surveys, GIS surveys, GIS/AutoCAD conversion, as-built survey, GPS survey and map creation.
•    Consultants shall prepare and maintain sketches, prepare legal descriptions and easement documents, maps reports, verify accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations, benchmarking, direct or conduct legal surveys in order to establish legal boundaries for properties, prepare/review and provide drawing of existing legal descriptions, record results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevations and dimensions of land feature, calculation heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, existing utilities, existing landscaping, existing roadways & sidewalks, existing benchmarks and other characteristics of terrain topographic features.
•    Consultants shall research the public records available on the county property appraiser and county clerk of court websites. Locate parcel deeds, recorded plats, and right-of-way maps pertinent for the delineation of parcel deed lines.
•    Consultants shall prepare or supervise preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys.
•    Consultants shall plan and conduct ground surveys designed to establish baselines, elevations, and other geodetic measurements.
•    Consultants shall utilize optimum industry practices as well as the latest cutting-edge technologies.
•    Consultants shall ensure that work conforms to and is in accordance with current codes and standards.
•    Other responsibilities may include other engineering professionals participating as part of a team working closely with other professionals.
•    Consultants may be required to attend meetings with and/or on behalf of city staff.
