The Vendor is required to provide the consultant shall perform GIS mapping and attribute data entry for water and sewer infrastructure within the municipality, adhering strictly to the existing GIS data schema and standards using ArcGIS Pro.
- Schema Compliance:
• Strict adherence to the municipality’s current GIS data schema, including:
1. Feature classes (e.g., water mains, valves, hydrants, sewer pipes, manholes).
2. Field names, types, domains, subtypes, and coded values.
3. Attribute rules and conditional requirements.
- Data Quality & Validation:
• Ensure topological integrity (e.g., no overlaps, gaps, invalid geometries).
• No null values in required fields unless justified.
• Consistent and accurate attribution (e.g., material type, pipe diameter, installation year).
• Conduct domain validation (coded value domains enforced).
- Documentation:
• Document all data sources used (as-built drawings, field GPS, surveys).
• Provide log/report of any issues encountered.
- Software & Data Environment:
• All work must be completed using ArcGIS Pro (version 3.x or as specified).
• Deliver final datasets in the required File Geodatabase (.gdb) format.
• Maintain and deliver data in the municipality’s defined spatial reference system.
- Security & Confidentiality:
• Sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) prior to data access.
• No data shall be copied, distributed, or disclosed to any other party without written municipal permission.
- Progress Reporting:
• Submit weekly status updates outlining work completed, issues encountered, and next steps.
• Allow for QA/QC review period (by municipal staff) after each milestone submission.
• Incorporate corrections/feedback before final delivery.
- Skills & Experience:
• Demonstrated GIS mapping and attribute data entry experience in municipal water and sewer infrastructure projects.
• References from at least two similar municipal projects.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, as-builts, and field GPS data.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS Pro attribute rules, domains, and subtypes.
• Knowledge of topology rules for utility networks is an asset.
