The Vendor is required to provide in executive recruitments, to serve as consultant for the identification and recruitment of prospective candidates and eventual hiring for the position of director.
- The HR department has an annual operating budget of $3,665,058.
- Candidate will possess:
• Strong leadership skills, a progressive outlook, and robust communication abilities.
• Experience developing and leading change management efforts and initiatives.
• A vision for human resources in a changing workforce environment that can be articulated and executed by developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with other members of the executive leadership team and all human resources stakeholders.
• Thorough knowledge of research methods and practices and the ability to communicate complex ideas both orally and in writing.
• The ability to analyze complex issues and make recommendations with a longer-term vision in mind.
• The ability to plan, organize, coordinate, prioritize, assign, and evaluate the work of subordinate managers, analysts and support staff.
• Extensive experience and knowledge of public sector labor negotiations, risk management, benefits administration, recruitment, compensation strategies and organizational development is important.
• A willingness to embrace and utilize technology to provide the most effective hr services possible.
• Familiarity with health care trends, payroll administration, human resource information systems, employee wellness/total worker health, and succession planning is highly desired.
• A collaborative approach to working with and supporting departments with the highest priority placed on outstanding customer service.
- Services include:
• Working and meeting with various internal and community stakeholders for input and data related to candidate profile generation.
• Creation of a compelling profile and recruitment piece that captures the strengths and challenges within the city.
• Recruiting exceptional candidates with a proven record of strong leadership and management.
• Collecting all application materials from applicants and reviewing/analyzing candidate qualifications for the job.
• Conducting reference checks, exhaustive background investigations and screening of applicants/candidates.
• Utilizing an assessment tool to assist with the selection process.
• Working with stakeholders to establish a robust interview process, including being present for interviews with candidates.
• Providing guidance, consultation and recommendations to stakeholders throughout the interview, community input and selection processes.
• Assisting with the coordination and facilitation of community forums and processes for community input, including being present and assisting during forums.
• Providing a proposed timeline for the entire process.
