The Vendor is required to provide a pre-dispositional placement may occur when a persons in need of supervision (PINS) petition has been filed against a youth, but prior to a dispositional hearing in family court.
- Pre-dispositional placements are time-limited.
- Committed to excellence, professionalism, integrity and is uniquely structured to deliver an integrated, diverse, holistic set of services, in collaboration with families and communities to empower families to create a safe, nurturing environment in which children can grow, thrive and reach their full potential
- Pre-dispositional placement can only occur in the following settings:
• Foster boarding home
• Group Home
• Residential Treatment Center
• Short-term safe houses as defined in Social Services Law 447 for a youth who has been determined by the court to be sexually exploited
• The court finds, pursuant to the evidentiary standards applicable to a hearing on a felony complaint in a criminal court, that such probable cause exists; and
• Special circumstances exist, in which case such pre-dispositional placement may be extended for not more than an additional three days, exclusive Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
