The vendor is required to provide lead business recruitment consultant manages a portfolio of assigned business client files, defines the client’s specific site location requirements, develops a formal response to the defined requirements including available properties, applicable incentives, labor availability and business cost factors.
• Serves as lead business recruitment consultant and provides supervision for the consultants.
• Assists in hiring process for regional consultants and provides training for the CRM, program management processes, and general on-boarding.
• Assists with establishing annual team goals and develop strategies to encourage recruitment of new state businesses.
• Establishes ongoing communication with regional consultants to guide success and support growth objectives.
• Leads and manages business recruitment projects from start to finish in a timely and professional manner.
• Communicates effectively with local economic development communities regarding real estate searches.
• Works with local agency to ensure the appropriate local information is being submitted to meet the project requirements.
• Becomes proficient in state incentive programs by
o Working in partnership with program managers
o Acquiring foundational knowledge of required support documentation and application completion
o Adhering to the application process and subsequent follow-up
• Documents project activity and follow-up in the CRM system.
• Serves as an advocate for state by encouraging clients to visit communities and make on-site inspections of properties and resources.
• is familiar with the assets around the state.
• Represents the agency at events, tradeshows, conferences, and other activities.
• Makes personal calls to site location consultants and companies within an assigned geographic territory with the purpose of developing relationships with these entities that will result in state being considered for site location projects.
• Works in partnership with the marketing team for events within their assigned coverage area.
• Balance working independently while embracing a team environment within the department of business development division.
