The vendor is required to provide business recruitment consultant manages a portfolio of assigned business client files, defines the client’s specific site location requirements, develops a formal response to the defined requirements including available properties, applicable incentives, labor availability and business cost factors.
• Communicates effectively with local economic development communities regarding real estate searches related to site selection opportunities, and business attraction project updates.
• Advances proposals in coordination with local state local economic development professionals, site selectors, private sector partners, and utility partners.
• Ensures the appropriate and accurate information is submitted to meet business attraction project requirements.
• Becomes proficient in state incentive programs
o Works in partnership with department program managers.
o Acquires foundational knowledge of support documentation and incentive proposal application completion requirements.
o Adheres to the department incentive proposal application process.
• Documents business attraction project activity and follow-up in salesforce the customer relation management (CRM) system.
• Serves as an advocate for state to encourage clients to visit communities and make on-site inspections of properties and resources.
• Is familiar with the assets throughout the state.
• Represent the department of commerce at events, tradeshows, conferences, and other activities.
• Strategically employs a mix of department of commerce prospecting tools, industry data, and direct outreach for lead identification that results in business relocation and expansion projects.
• Develops and maintains a broad professional network with site location consultants and companies within the assigned geographic region to achieve measurable outcomes.
• Works in partnership with the department of commerce marketing team for events within the assigned coverage area.
• Balance working independently while embracing a team environment within the division.
