The vendor required to provide to design, develop, and fully maintain a custom tourism focused website, a mobile application, and maintenance service.
- While third-party plugins may be used within the website’s CMS, no third-party developers or subcontractors may be used for the mobile application’s development or maintenance.
- The contractor shall deliver modern, secure, user-friendly digital solutions and provide ongoing maintenance and support for both platforms.
- Website design:
• Provide custom UI and UX aligned with branding.
• Build the website on a CMS (WordPress or similar).
• Include the following features:
o Pages: home, about, things to do, events, history, agriculture, outdoor recreation, restaurants, amusements, places to stay, plan, blog
o Forms (contact and inquiry); direct email plug-in must be included.
o Events calendar- must be able to have ability for participant submission, locality review and approval process; ai integration preferred.
o Interactive map of locality with icons that link to high area tourism locations.
o Social media integration from hashtags onto main page.
o Audio and video integration required.
• Integrate SEO and analytics; data must be compiled monthly.
• Project must be fully ADA compliant in accordance with new 2026 required government regulations.
• Provide all ongoing maintenance for technology updates and security.
- Mobile application:
• Contractor shall develop an interactive, secure branded mobile application with:
o Dashboard
o Responsive trip planner
o Push messaging
o Daily content syncs: 4-hour content syncs preferred.
o Audio/video/streaming capabilities
o Capability to create custom curated tours
o Ability to create locality driven check-ins and passports
o Ability to showcase promo materials
o Analytics dashboard
o Automatic information syncs from website to application
• Provide database integration.
• Provide a responsive widget.
• Must be compatible with iOS and Android.
• Ensure secure, scalable backend development.
• Application must be able to be integrated with tourism ai technology (via) for future application growth.
- Maintenance and support:
• Monthly updates, security patches, backups
• Bug fixes and troubleshooting
• Technical support (response time within 24 hours).
