The Vendor is required to provide medical director shall function as the department’s lead physician for prehospital medical care and provide clinical, operational, and strategic medical oversight in accordance with state emergency medical services (EMS) regulations and best practices.
- Requirement:
• Assist in overseeing the delivery of emergency medical services.
• Collaborate with the EMS captain and EMS coordinator and maintain ems training programs and curricula.
• Supervise and evaluate all aspects of the EMS continuous quality improvement program.
• Act as a liaison between department, the emergency medical community, and the local EMS.
• Oversee the procurement and management of pharmacological agents and controlled substances.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal EMS regulations and protocols.
• Have knowledge of and be able to monitor and analyze the city EMS performance metrics to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
• Assist with policies and procedures and have knowledge of city EMS operations, training, and quality assurance.
• Assist with continuing education opportunities for EMS personnel.
• Coordinate with hospitals and other healthcare providers to improve patient care transitions as needed.
