The Vendor is required to provide an advertising and sponsorship policy to facilitate and support advertising and sponsorship opportunities on city-owned and civic partner-controlled assets including facilities, parks, structures, equipment, programs, and events.
- The city can engage a third-party marketing agency to assist with the solicitation and management of advertising and sponsorship arrangements.
- Third-party agency will receive a non-exclusive license to promote, solicit, sell, and manage select advertising and sponsorship opportunities on behalf of the city.
- Work with the city to review and update the annual city marketing proposal which lists the available advertising and sponsorship opportunities, the rights and benefits being offered and the proposed value in the marketplace.
- Once a sale agreement is reached, responsible for submitting details of the sale to the community services department for the development of one-month or one year arrangements or agreements for multi-year terms using a document provided by the city.
- Designs are then provided to the community services department for approval on behalf of the city.
- All advertising and sponsorship agreements must be executed directly between the city and the advertiser and the city is responsible for all invoicing and collection of payment.
- Third-party agency is solely responsible for all administrative costs associated with the creation, production and marketing of the city marketing proposal and the management, creation and production of advertising and sponsorship agreements.
- Third-party agency will coordinate the installation and removal of all advertising inventory under their agreement with the city.
- All costs associated with the production, installation, maintenance, and removal of advertising inventory will be the responsibility of the advertiser.
- The city is responsible for any costs associated with the temporary removal of advertising signage initiated by the city.
