The vendor is required to provide the tourism marketing services project will require a qualified marketing firm to develop and execute tourism marketing plans, campaigns, and materials for the terms of the contract.
- The marketing plan will be presented to city staff as an initial step in this relationship and shall include a schedule for delivery of the plan, as well as cost estimates associated with the execution of the plan.
• Marketing coordination, asset development, content recommendations and design for promotions;
• Year-round monitoring and management of official social media channels, forums, and peer review websites;
• Working with destination state, destination country and co-op marketing initiatives to amplify and leverage the marketing plan to its fullest potential;
• Creation and distribution of monthly newsletters for the tourism industry and relevant audiences;
• Review available print and digital publications and make recommendations for the best use of available funds;
• Ensuring that outward facing content brand standards are in alignment with the city’s agreement with destination state;
• All planning, reporting and account management related to the above tasks;
• Coordinate with the business development officer- tourism when planning content, campaigns, and niche marketing on an as-needed basis; and
• Provide guidance and expert knowledge on the marketing aspects of the annual one-year tactical plan to be submitted to destination state
• Provide strategic input on the marketing component of the 2027 5-year Municipal and regional district tax (MRDT) application to destination state.
• DCR does not expect the proponent to draft the full application.
